Created for the stylish and environmentally conscious girl, our contemporary hair bobbles and bows cater for both the wearer and her school uniform or special outfit alike.
The pieces range from cloth covered button bobbles, bow clips and headbands to the classic scrunchy. All are available in either a school’s plain colours, their specific printed fabric, or fun fashion fabrics for leisure time.
Founder, Marisa Tait, was inspired to create these understated, chic hair products after failing to find smart yet pretty pieces for her own daughter to wear, and with a natural flair for crafts, she set about making her own. Marisa uses old school uniforms to get the perfect pattern match, and her fabrics range from the up-cycled to luxurious Liberty prints.
As is often the case with fashions, the trend for bespoke hair clips spread throughout her hometown and beyond, and so the handmade hair accessory brand, HNDMD, was born.
The range currently caters for a selection of South East Essex schools, and is constantly expanding, so if your school is not listed, then please do get in touch to discuss bespoke designs.
It’s easier than you think to reduce the amount of plastic you use. At HNDMD eco, we produce safe, easy-to-use and stylish alternatives to plastic wrapping. Our handmade beeswax food wraps are an environmentally-friendly replacement for cling film that can be washed and reused time and time again.
Beeswax wraps are a great, natural way to store your food, both in your home and on the go. We offer different sizes to cater for lunch, leftovers and snacks. The wax coated fabric pieces, created with responsibly made, bleach-free cotton, simply fold and form around your food, providing the same long lasting freshness as single use, non-biodegradable wrappers.
With most plastic being used only once, and so little actually being recycled, HNDMD eco champions the small sustainable differences we can all make, believing every effort has an impact.
Founder, Marisa Tait, began HNDMD eco as a personal quest to minimise her family’s plastic use and to avoid packaging where possible. Marisa made feasible changes to her lifestyle by creating her own reusable, eco-friendly food wrappers in contemporary modern patterns and colours.
As friends and family embraced the idea, the demand for the handmade sustainable alternatives grew, and HNDMD eco was launched in April 2019.
Today, in addition to our online store, you can also find HNDMD eco at The Refill Room in the seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea.
We have begun to add other environmentally-friendly products to our range, and have plans to increase them, so why not join us on our step-by-step mission to make a big difference, and let us show you how a few small everyday changes can help you lessen your plastic consumption?
